Courtney is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with a background in working with survivors of domestic violence and trauma. Courtney has over 13 years of experience educating and supporting individuals and families. While working at a local non-profit, Courtney became interested in birth work after the birth of her son. After the empowering experience of birthing her child surrounded by a team who believed in and encouraged her, Courtney immediately knew she wanted to work to hold space for other women during their pregnancy and beyond. Birth work has allowed Courtney to bring together two things she is passionate about- working with trauma survivors and her love of all things pregnancy and postpartum. Her goal is to provide a safe and compassionate space for families to bring life into the world. Courtney believes her role is to support families in advocating themselves while feeling relaxed, focused, and empowered. Courtney will support the birth YOU chose- unmedicated or medicated, in a hospital, or at home.
In addition to birth work, Courtney also provides individual and group counseling with a focus on perinatal mental health, healthy relationships, and trauma.
As a mother of a busy toddler, Courtney likes to spend time exploring the hidden gems in DFW, trying new recipes, and being crafty and creative.
